Jacob Amtorp

Biography

Jacob was born in Copenaghen, Denmark, in 1963. Ever since childhood, he was surrounded by beautiful and functional furniture, symbol of the golden age of the Scandinavian Design.
His passion for design started at that time, and lead him to the Danish Design Academy where he graduated in 1989. He was influenced by the Scandinavian design and by the modernist and functionalist movements of the 20th Century, which were the source of inspiration for his work.
After the degree, in 1989, he studied at the Architecture Royal Academy in Copenaghen and worked in different architectural and design firms in Denmark and Norway.
In 2011 he founded the Amtorp Design Studio and since then he has worked with customers and manufacturers from Asia and Europe.

Gabriele Cappelletti

Biography

Architect and designer lives and works in Cantù and he studied at the Faculty of Architecture at Polytechnic of Milan where he graduated in Sustainable Architecture. He deals with interior design, product design and architecture developing collaborations for international projects in Shanghai and Libreville. He also collaborates with furniture companies working in very close contact with the many artisans in the area where he grew up. The skills and experiences gained throughout these years working side by side with the artisans continue to influence his approach to design. His work has received some awards including: Deco Ter Design Competition with the design of BeMod bench exhibited at the Hybrid Architecture and Design event during Fuorisalone 2013; ComOn Design Competition organized by Confindustria Como with the design of the Shard table exhibited at the Local to Global event in Triennale of Milan; Brianza Design Competition with the design of Pat cupboard exhibited during Salone del Mobile di Milano 2015.

Luca Erba

Biography

Luca Erba is an Italian architect and designer born in 1984.
He graduated in Architecture from Polytechnic University of Milan and launched his own studio in 2010.
With deep territorial, materic and formal research as the foundations of his creative process, he develops projects ranging from architecture to decor, interior design and bespoke collections.
His ultimate purpose is to create long-lasting objects, combining contemporary taste and strong respect for the past.
His approach to projectuality celebrates a connection between heritage, materials, industrial design, natural shapes and refined craftsmanship.

Giuliano Cappelletti

Biography

He was born in Cantù from hand-crafted family and he is only child.
He has attended the “Istituto Statale d’Arte of Cantù” and than he took his degree at Politecnico of Milan.
In the family he grow up breathing projects, drawings, design and furniture settings because his dad had a furniture’s production company. He had the chance to know famous architects who fascinated him and this was decisive for his choice in both academic and professional way.
At 21 years he moved to Milan both to do experience of work and study, by living the design’s explosion of the city.
Not graduated yet, he decided to open his studio and he began to have the first relationship with companies in the same sector; a fundamental experience which was very important to know productive process and the use of new materials.
The studio now occupies of product design – architecture – interior design.
In 2010 he opened in Shanghai a studio with some Partners working in the architectural and contract fields.

Marco Cattaneo

Biography

He graduated in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano in 2010, he grew professionally working with important design studios.
Thanks to these experiences, he has the opportunity to approach important interior, retail and product design projects for big companies.
Moved by an irrepressible need to express himself in the great world of design, in 2012 he founded Ar-key Studio and in 2016 his personal studio: Marco Cattaneo Design Studio.
The studio explores multiple themes of design with a 360° view on different scales, ranging from architecture to graphics and from interior to product design.
His works masterfully express the linear approach to the project that moves to an extreme purity of the geometries and in a material refinement of the detail.

Stefano Gallizioli

Biography

Born in Bergamo in 1964, Stefano Gallizioli graduated in Industrial Design from the Politecnico del Design in Milan, having also studied at the Art Institute in Trento.
From 1987 to 1997 he worked at Antonio Citterio and Partners in Milan.
He set up Ang42 in 2003 together with partner Francesca Simen, dealing with Interiors and working on several residential and commercial projects, both at home and abroad.
In 2006 they established a branch of their practice in Dublin, working on residential and office projects, among which was the completion of the new Dublin Headquarter Offices of a major multinational firm in 2009.

Jérôme Gauthier

Biography

The architect Jérôme Gauthier is constantly focused on the details and on the communication between conception and material in order to create the product with the means of its development.
From craftsmanship to industry, he always pays the same attention to the product development.
He comes from the designer generation of the ENSAD, who largely contributed to revive the French design internationally.
Jérôme Gauthier queries the user’s behavior in his relationship with the object.
In this perspective he designs his propositions linked to the domestic and professional life, in order to fight against the alienation in our environment and give the user the responsibility of his transformation.

Eleonora Pozzi

Biography

Born in Seregno in 1981, after the degree in Architecture at the Politecnico in Milan in 2006, she opened an architectural firm in Seregno. She participated in many design competitions, and in the 2008 edition of the “Young & Design” competition she was assigned a special mention for the Dalia armchair and footstool.
She took part in the 2007 and 2008 “Salone Satellite” and her works were published in some of the most important sectorial magazines.
She teaches technical drawing at the School of Art of Cabiate, in the province of Como, and worked as assistant in the Architectural Planning Workshop the Politecnico in Milan.
Her activity also includes painting, and in this field she is obtaining great consent in Italy and abroad. She exhibits her works in many local shows.

Paolo Salvadè

Biography

Paolo Salvadè, was born in Cantù (CO), where he currently lives and works mainly doing a business of industrial design in an area where working with metal, wood, upholstery, new technological or traditional materials is part of the  environmental DNA. After graduation, he accumulated almost twenty years of professional experience in a well known design studio interacting with leading furniture brands. In 1997 he opened his industrial design studio as a freelancer working with major companies in the industry field, ensuring the design and industrialization of products and objects.
